InsideScan has been fixed to conform to the newer Apple security standards for third-party applications, introduced with macOS 10.14.5. Starting from this version InsideScan for macOS will be a 64-bit only plug-in, so you won’t be able to use 32-bit TWAIN drivers anymore. If you need to use 32-bit TWAIN drivers on 10.14.5 or later, please contact us at in order to get more info about it.

Starting from version 3.5.5 for macOS InsideScan is able to interact with 32 bit TWAIN drivers even when running inside a 64 bit FileMaker application. You can enable this feature by activating the checkbox "Use 32-bit TWAIN Interface" in InsideScan preferences window.

Please note: this feature won't be available on macOS 10.15 and newer, as Apple will drop support for 32 bit software in future versions of macOS.
