3.6.9macOS

This release for macOS contains the following changes:

  • Apple Image Capture window will now save and restore its position and size.
  • Starting from this release InsideScan Helper application will be automatically closed after each scan session. In order to avoid this behavior you can specify the additional parameter "closehelper=no" when calling InS_Acquire external function: this way the helper application will be closed only when you quit FileMaker.
  • Apple Image Capture window will be closed automatically once you reach the number of scans specified in InS_Acquire function call. Of course this doesn't happen if you specify "-1" as maximum scan count.
  • Fixed a bug that caused errors when scanning multiple images through Apple Image Capture

3.6macOS

InsideScan has been fixed to conform to the newer Apple security standards for third-party applications, introduced with macOS 10.14.5. Starting from this version InsideScan for macOS will be a 64-bit only plug-in, so you won’t be able to use 32-bit TWAIN drivers anymore. If you need to use 32-bit TWAIN drivers on 10.14.5 or later, please contact us at info@powersolutions.it in order to get more info about it.

3.5.5macOS

Starting from version 3.5.5 for macOS InsideScan is able to interact with 32 bit TWAIN drivers even when running inside a 64 bit FileMaker application. You can enable this feature by activating the checkbox "Use 32-bit TWAIN Interface" in InsideScan preferences window.

Please note: this feature won't be available on macOS 10.14.5 and newer, as Apple will drop support for 32 bit software in future versions of macOS.
